Northern Lights Dining - Dish Sanitation Team Member
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Works in a residential Dining Services dish room operation including clean dishware, pots, pans, utensils, cooking equipment, kitchen equipment, and floors. Additional Duties as assigned.
Work Study NOT Required. We hire students with or without work study!
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED - On the job training.
Position Responsibilities
(included but not limited to)
• Operate the industrial dishwasher
• Cleaning and sanitizing all dishware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment
• Separates washable items (trays, bowls, plates, cups, glasses, silverware, etc.)
• Utilize a three compartment ware washing sink system.
• Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary
• Works with chemicals and industrial cleaning materials
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles
• Follow sanitation policies at all times
• Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
• Perform opening, closing and side work including but not limited to floor maintenance
• Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party
Supervision Received
Receives routine supervision from Operation Managers, Full Time staff, Student Leader, Student Trainer and Shift Lead.

PPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a registered student attending NMU (minimum credits 6 hours in Fall and Winter Semesters).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
