With handshake I was aware of any job postings for on-campus jobs (which was what I was looking for at the time).
What I wish was different
It was really hard to apply through handshake, I printed my application and turned it in straight to the office.
Advice
If you are in college and looking for jobs, get a job on campus. They work with your schedule way better than off-campus jobs.

I could work more. I was limited to 20 hours in the summer and 11 during the school year

I love working on campus because I know my employers will never schedule any shifts that will conflict with my classes. Working for the Campus Visit Program is so fun because I get to be the first person that prospective students meet at Northern!
